All you have to do is practice.
Welcome to Grow! I'm so glad you're here!
Hi, I'm Courtney, owner of Grow. This is a letter to share with you why I opened the studio and why now,
more than ever was the time to do it.
Yoga is a practice that brought me back into life, my real life.
Maybe you can relate to life feeling overwhelmingly artificial. If the wild fire of low self worth has engulfed you in it’s blaze, that would only make sense. The demands on us to preform, click, scroll and now to actually be artificial are unending and out of control. Just like wild fire.
Like most people, I have spent years,…years, of my life scrolling the phone and throwing up likes on my favorite inspirational posts. And it was not helping me grow. I was for growth in concept, not in action.
The moment I moved from concept to action, everything changed. This is because we are rewarded for action, not concept.
When I actually signed up for membership at a yoga studio, I was for my growth in action. Later, when I signed up for yoga teacher training, I was for my growth in action.
The answer to your question is, yes.
Yes, the classes at Grow can be challenging. In order to access new levels of growth, they have to be. Hands down, the hardest part about any class is the story your mind makes up about it. But a cool thing about yoga is that through practice, the stories our minds make up begin to change. The way you think begins to change and a fruitful life begins to grow. Every time you practice, you are planting a seed for your new growth where ashes once were.
All that you have to do is decide, in action, to practice. If you show up to class and just practice sitting on your mat in a hot room, you have practiced.
Now, more than ever, is the time to practice being real. We live in physical bodies, alongside others. Life is designed that way for a reason and it is important.
My hope for everyone who practices at Grow is that you will discover what is possible for your life and the lives of others. My promise to everyone who practices at Grow is that if you stay in the practice, you most certainly will and in one way or another, you will become someone who leads others to do the same.
Keep growing,
Courtney
